Last Friday I had the opportunity to check one more item of my Bucket List, by firing a Thompson Machine Gun M1A1. The TV series Combat! with Vic Morrow had one and I always thought about how it would feel firing one. This WWII M1A1 had only the 20 round magazines, so I picked-up a pair. I liked the weight of the Thompson, the balance seamed fine also. Wood and iron, you just can't go wrong in my book. My target was at 100 yards (small size bus, painted white), I quickly learned an had it firing 2-3 round bursts at an time. After a pair of magazines I had checked one more item off. Saturday came and something kept calling my name at the machine gun range. What the hell could it be? So I was back picking up a pair of mags again for the M1A1 Thompson Machine Gun.

Oooooh what fun it was.

Well worth the $1.50 a round for a once in a life time opportunity, just didn't want it to pass without jumping on the band wagon.

;)
